Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Sampah Organik Oleh Masyarakat Untuk Pembuatan Ekoenzim di Desa Wukirsari, Imogiri Bantul
Abstract
In Indonesia, the largest contributor to waste accumulation is household waste (62%), where the primary component of this household waste is food scraps/food processing waste, commonly referred to as organic waste (44%) (anonymous, 2020). These organic materials from organic waste have not been maximally managed and utilized by the community. In fact, the organic materials from this organic waste have significant potential to be repurposed into useful items with considerable economic value. Therefore, appropriate management efforts are needed so that organic waste can become something productive, useful, and economically valuable. Organic waste can be processed into organic fertilizer, biogas, charcoal briquettes, fish/livestock feed, handicrafts, and eco-enzyme. Eco-enzyme is one alternative for utilizing organic waste into a product with high economic and beneficial value
