Abstract


ABSTRACT
Background: The number of cases of TB pulmonary notification in 2015 amounted to 114 / 100,000 population, where this number was higher than the case notification rate in the Province of 103 / 100,000. One community health center with a high number of TB cases was Sepauk Health Center .
Sepauk Health Center has the highest number of TB cases number 4 among 20 puskesmas in Sintang District.

Objective: To analyze the risk factors and spatial features of pulmonary TB cases in the working area of Sepauk Public Health Center, Sintang District.
Research methods: This type of research is observational analytic with case control research design. The number of samples using a ratio of 1: 2, which means that 23 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and 46 controls with a total of 69 samples.

Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between lighting (p value = 0.021), room temperature (p value = 0.021) and humidity (p value = 0.005) with the incidence of pulmonary TB. While occupancy density, distance of health services and ventilation were not related to the incidence of pulmonary TB. Based on the spatial analysis of the distribution of cases it was found that the pattern of the spread of cases of pulmonary TB followed the flow of the river and the distance between the homes of patients with other patients close together. Conclusion: there is a significant relationship between lighting, room temperature and humidity with the incidence of pulmonary TB.
