FAKTOR – FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PERILAKU SAFETY RIDING PADA SISWA DI SMK PATRIOT 1 BEKASI TAHUN 2021

Abstract


Safety riding behavior is an effort to reduce the number of traffic accidents and injuries due to traffic accidents. Based on data from the Global Status Report on Read Safety issued by WHO, 1.24 million people worldwide died due to traffic accidents. According to the Korlantas Polri data, there were 19,681 accidents dominated by productive age, students and college students. SMK Patriot 1 Bekasi is a vocational high school located in the Bekasi City area, Medan Satria District. This study aims to analyze the factors related to safety riding behavior in class XII students of SMK Patriot 1 Bekasi in 2021. The type of research used is quantitative with a cross sectional study design. The population of class XII students of SMK Patriot 1 Bekasi who rides a motorcycle is 88 students and the sample used is 88 students with a total sampling technique of sampling. Data analysis uses Chi Square test with the results showing that there is a relationship between SIM ownership and safety riding behavior (p-vlue 0.000). And there is no relationship between knowledge and safety riding behavior (p-vlue 0.071), and family support with safety riding behavior (p-vlue 0.084). Therefore, it is necessary to supervise efforts from the school to implement regulations or prohibitions on bringing vehicles to school. And the school can cooperate with the local police to facilitate students to get a SIM C in accordance with the established procedures. So there are no more class XII students who bring vehicles without a SIM.
